It definitely felt like spring yesterday here in Dallas. The temperature was perfect for this black lace romper. I have been obsessed with lace lately - it's just so classic, feminine, and sexy. It will never go out of style! This romper is SO comfy, and I honestly didn't want to take it off. I dressed it down a bit for the daytime with these black slide sandals (under $25) and my Elaine Turner blush clutch, but you could throw on some black pumps and a red velvet clutch to glam it up for a night out on the town.
I have a feeling these slide sandals are going to be on repeat this spring and summer. The fringe and tassel details add the perfect little pop of cuteness. The ankle ties can be laced up higher on your leg if you prefer, or you can just wrap them around messily (is that a word?) like I did here. I typically don't wear a lot of trendy things, but these were just too good to pass up. One of the biggest pieces of wardrobe advice I have received (and try to live by) is to invest more in classic pieces that will last for years to come (like this lace romper and neutral clutch), and spend less on trendy items that you can wear the heck out of and then donate when you're over that trend.
Speaking of wardrobe advice, I would love to hear any tips you have received over the years! Do you spend more on certain items than others? Do you embrace trends fully, or just sprinkle them in here and there? Let's chat in the comments below!
